I received the April box to review, and this month’s theme was Solar Fast!
Smart Art shows up in a gorgeous purple box with an artsy design all over the box.
The box this month includes everything that you need to make a photogram. I have only ever made a photogram in a dark room, so I was excited to make one using the natural sun! The box includes everything that you need to make a photogram on a wooden box.
The included items are:

Each Smart Art box also comes with a history of the month’s medium as well as project pointers and instructions on how to perform the project. I loved how detailed the directions were, and it was easy to complete the project! There were even enough materials to do more than one project. Photograms can be done on different papers and fabrics, so it was nice to experiment with different formats.
This is what I came up with for my final creation:
FINAL THOUGHT: I thought that it was fun to learn about an art form that is not widely used. The box also comes with enough products to create multiple projects on other forms of fabric or paper. My only concern is that this box seemed a bit pricey for the experience that it brought. I know that shipping is added into the box cost, but I wish that more projects had been added instead of just one simple project for $49.95.
