I was so excited to receive Illumicrate because, obviously, I am a huge bookworm!  I also like how this box is quarterly so you only receive one box every four months.  It makes the box exciting to receive knowing that it doesn’t come every month!

Illumicrate comes in a special box with the company’s logo on top of it!  I love the yellow color focus.

Upon opening the box you are treated with a flash of yellow color and the content card!

Before the box is revealed, this cardboard insert is underneath the paper shavings and content card.  I like the special touch of the thank you note!

The content card describes all of the items in the box.  I like knowing where each item comes from and how they relate to the box!

The first item on the list (and the main attraction) is the book Truth or Dare by Non Pratt!  The book comes with an author letter as well, and the book is signed.  I love these extra features that are included with the book.  They make the box worth signing up for!

 Truth or Dare is a really awesome book!  It focuses on two different characters, and halfway through the book, you have to flip the book over and start reading from the back to read the other half of the story.  I love how this novel is like a puzzle.  I wouldn’t have found out about it without Illumicrate’s help!

The next item is a Feyre Art Mug and the art is an exclusive from artist, Merwild!  Illumicrate created these mugs just for the box, and they are based on the A Court of Thornes and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas.   I ADORE this artwork, and I have already put this mug to great use!  I always love receiving exclusive items.  Since the third book in this series, A Court of Wings and Ruin, just came out, this mug came at the perfect time!

The next item is another Illumicrate exclusive!  It is a Mermaid Lagoon Candle by Flickerink, and it is reminiscent of Peter Pan.  The scent is called tropical splash and it smells delicious!  Peter Pan is my favorite story of all time, so I geeked out when I saw that this candle was included in the box.

Also included in the box is this Swish & Flick keychain from Nutmeg and Arlo!  The keychain is a play on a scene in Harry Potter when they are learning the Wingardium Leviosa spell.  This sparkly blue color used in this keychain is exclusive, and I just love it.  I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so I have already attached this keychain to my keys!

The next two items are also Illumicrate exclusives!  This is a set that includes a door hanger and print based on Beauty and the Beast from TJ Lubrano.  I am crazy about Beauty and the Beast, so I think that these items are adorable!  I have already hung the door hanger on my door.

The last accessory included in the box is this Map Bookmark from Paper Penguin Co.!

This handy dandy bookmark has been exclusively created for Illumicrate, and it is designed to fit over the corner of your book page!  I love how unique this bookmark is, and it does make your book look very pretty.  I also like how the bookmark doesn’t stick out like a regular bookmark, so it is less likely to fall out!

The next couple of items are extras included in the box, and I am amazed by them!  The first set of extras is an ARC (advanced reader’s copy) of The Waking Land by Callie Bates along with an author letter and bookmark.  I have NEVER received an ARC as an extra in a book box, so I am extremely amazed.  I collect ARCs, so I squealed when I saw this included in the box!  Also, the fact that it came with an author letter and bookmark made these items seem very rare.

The last items are extras from Windfall, The Gender Games, and The Taste of Blue Light.  I love all of the extras that Illumicrate is able to get for their subscribers!  One of the best things about Illumicrate is that they are UK based, so most of the extras and books you receive are from UK based authors and books.  For those in other countries, this is a great way to discover new books in UK literature!

Final Thought: Illumicrate is an AWESOME quarterly book subscription!  Since they do ship out only four times a year, they pack their boxes with amazing accessories and extras that are hard to find anywhere else.  Since most of the items in the box are exclusives, you have to order this box to be able to purchase them.  I love the book choice that Illumicrate chose for this box, and the extras from publishers amazed me.  If you are looking for a jam packed quarterly box filled with books and fun accessories, then Illumicrate is the way to go!  They also have free shipping in the UK, so that is a big plus.  Thank you, Illumicrate!
